Kids’ Booklet
This attractive publication chronicles the life and
achievements of twenty-five (25) outstanding Caribbean scientists. Their
inspiring stories are grouped in four fields
of endeavour – Innovation, Medicine, Science and Science Education.
The
profiles are reader-friendly and filled with graphics that will appeal to
young readers and there is a “Key Words” section that introduces new scientific terms. A bonus for this publication is that it also features short profiles
on additional “Personalities in Science and Medicine”. The publication opens
with a special message from the Hon. Dr. Keith Mitchell, Prime Minister of
Grenada and Minister with responsibility for Science & Technology in CARICOM.

of charge to schools throughout the Caribbean by CCST focal points. It is a
valuable reference book, which will no doubt serve to inspire youngsters to
pursue careers in science and to emulate the achievements of the featured
